This PrecisionRF Type N attenuator combines a large finned heat-sink housing with high 30 dB rejection performance over DC–18 GHz at up to 50 watts. It is a bidirectional, reciprocal network that can be installed either way, giving engineers a repeatable way to set signal level, protect sensitive front-ends and improve source/load match in benchtop, ATE and in-system RF chains.

The 30 dB value provides deep attenuation for overload protection, harmonic/leakage suppression and bringing very high-level sources down into a detector or instrument's linear range, all in a single matched in-line part.
